I thought we should post this one up, Manchester label Estate Recordings held a completely rammed album launch party at the Deaf Institute to celebrate the release of Skittles' new album 'Poor with £100 Trainers', which dropped on the 12th March.
Complete with a full live band and the weighty addition of a string section the whole Estate crew smashed it. Skittles played most of his new album backed up by DRS and Fox throughout his set, before Broke 'n' £nglish stepped up with a couple of their trademark numbers including 'this is our life' and 'tryin'.
Estate even took the opportunity to debut some of the newly signed Eyes material, which Chimpo and Fox have been cooking up since last year. This video popped up online courtesy of the heads at Wordisbond.com. It features Skittles band playing Tip I cal Ly complete with Strategy in full indian headress laying down the Marka vocal, which completely smashed the drum and bass scene apart last year.
Skittles album 'Poor With £100 Trainers is out now on CD and Digital and available to buy from Estate directly here. . .
